his spring, our beloved MOPs will undergo a transformation. Though we initially stood for Mothers of Preschoolers, many misunderstood our reach, thinking we only catered to moms with children until kindergarten. Thus, we’re embracing a new identity – The Mom Co. This rebranding extends our invitation from expecting mothers to those with school-aged kids. Each one of us, shaping the future by raising the next generation, can find our purpose here.
We always believed in the vision that no mom should feel alone. Together, we make motherhood a journey worth sharing. We meet in the Chapel every third Tuesday from 7-9 pm. From enriching talks to creative crafts, every session has been an opportunity to bond. Add to this, our quarterly 'Moms Night Out' and monthly 'Mama Meetups', ensuring moms got their well-deserved breaks and community time.
Our church's unwavering support has been our foundation. Gratitude fills our hearts for the space and leadership support. Our journey, however, hasn’t been without hitches. Convincing moms that MOPs was worth adding “one more thing” to their already busy schedules was an uphill task. Also, our $35 yearly membership did raise eyebrows, but many generous church members stepped in as sponsors.
Yet, every challenge faded as we saw God's blessings unfold. Our unity as a community grew, with mentor moms guiding us, sharing their wisdom, and hosting events. This unity, fortified by many of us being sisters in Christ, let us share joys, hardships, and parenthood's roller coaster ride.
As we embrace our 2023-2024 season, we're filled with hope, eager to see how God shapes our journey next.
