t Community Church, we've always been passionate about reaching out to the youth in our community. One of the ways we've done this is through Rec Night. Held every second Wednesday of the month, this event was designed not just as an outreach but also as a platform for our students to engage in evangelism.
The primary idea behind Rec Night was to provide our students with the necessary resources and then trust them to run the show. While it might sound challenging to hand over the reins entirely, the results have been nothing short of astounding. Instead of the adults taking center stage, our young members are given the opportunity to share their personal testimonies, the gospel, and engage their peers in deep, meaningful conversations about faith.
For instance, at our last Rec Night, Caden Kline bravely presented the Gospel of Three Circles, dedicating an entire week to prepare for it. Similarly, we had Breanna, who overcame her nerves and reservations, bravely standing up to share her personal journey with Christ. Witnessing our students find the courage to speak, seeing their peers raise their hands in response, and then delving into gospel-centered discussions is truly heartwarming. Many of these students are now taking significant steps in their faith journey, be it getting saved or expressing their desire for baptism, all thanks to the efforts of their peers at Rec Night.
