'm standing right here in our almost-finished gym, and it's looking fantastic. The new plastic flooring, center court graphics, and our name proudly displayed along the baseline truly bring the space to life. We're about 90% done, and with a few finishing touches like adding borders and hanging window shades, we’re on track to use it by Thanksgiving.
One of the highlights is our new heating and cooling system. Gone are the days of those hazardous heating units on the sidewalls. Now, with our new padding, everyone can play safely.
But that's not all! We've also completed renovations downstairs. Our children now have a vibrant space with new carpeting, flooring, and fresh paint in the classrooms.
As we look ahead, our next big project is installing the lift. I'm sure many of you have
it on your Christmas wish list. Speaking of which, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to our fundraising efforts. Back in August, we were challenged with a matching grant of $100,000, and together, we raised an additional $75,000. However, we still have a bit more to cover, especially with some unexpected costs that arose.
Every contribution, every hour volunteered - from painting to carpentry - has been invaluable. This has truly been a collective effort. And why are we doing all this? Because our mission is clear: to know Christ, His life-changing power and to make Him known. By upgrading our facilities, we can serve more people and continue our mission.
