ecently, we had a wonderful gathering at our church β the Women's Cookie Exchange and Hot Cocoa event. It was a heartwarming occasion that brought together about 45 women of all ages, from teenagers to seasoned veterans, in a spirit of community and celebration.
The event was marked by a delightful array of activities. We indulged in delicious cookies and enjoyed a hot cocoa bar, which added a cozy touch to the chilly winter evening. A highlight of the event was reading a devotion from the "Jesus Listens" devotional, focusing on the true essence of Christmas and the gift of Jesus. This moment of reflection brought us closer to the spiritual heart of the season.
In addition to savoring treats and devotions, we engaged in a charming ornament craft and played various games. These activities were not just for fun but also served as great opportunities for socializing and fellowship. We laughed, shared stories, and connected with each other, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.
One of the memorable moments was a Christmas-themed game, where one of the prompts was about having visited Bethlehem. Surprisingly, we discovered a woman among us who had actually been to the real Bethlehem, which sparked much excitement and curiosity.
This event was more than just a social gathering; it was a testament to the power of community. We cherished the time spent in fellowship, mingling, and learning more about each other. The blend of spiritual, social, and festive elements created a beautiful tapestry of shared experiences.
The Women's Cookie Exchange and Hot Cocoa event was a delightful experience that reinforced the importance of community in our spiritual journey. It was a reminder of how God calls us to live in fellowship and support each other, especially during the festive season.
