Passion 2024

College & Career Trip To Atlanta

R

ecently, I had the opportunity to lead a group of young adults from our church to the Passion Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. This gathering, aimed at 18 to 25-year-olds, brought together around 60,000 participants from 1500 schools across 66 countries. For many, including our group, this was a first-time experience.

Our journey began on a Wednesday morning, with a long 10-hour drive to Atlanta. We arrived in the afternoon and headed straight to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where we were greeted by renowned worship bands and speakers. The enormity of the stadium and the energy of the crowd was something our students had never experienced before.

Over the next few days, the conference offered an immersive experience in worship and practical biblical teachings. We participated in sessions that challenged and deepened our understanding of faith. The nights were filled with worship, and one night, we chose to play board games while streaming the conference, fostering great conversations among us.

The last day was particularly moving, featuring speakers from the Asbury Revival and powerful worship sessions. We wrapped up our trip with a visit to the Coca-Cola Museum, which turned out to be an excellent team-building exercise.

The conference wasn't just about attending an event; it was a journey of faith and fellowship. It was about stepping out of our comfort zones and experiencing God in a new and profound way. The trip challenged our understanding of worship, prompting us to question and redefine what true worship means.

Most importantly, it was an opportunity for practical application of faith in everyday life. The teachings were directly applicable to the challenges and decisions our young adults face. Seeing them engage, question, and grow in their faith was a testament to the impact of this experience.

As we returned home, tired yet spiritually rejuvenated, I reflected on the success of the trip. It was more than just a conference; it was a milestone in our spiritual journey, one that we're eager to experience again next year.
