e recently celebrated our kids and student ministry volunteers in a unique way with the Leader Awards, an event inspired by the Oscars and Grammys. This special occasion was all about honoring the heart and soul of our ministry - the volunteers.
The night was filled with excitement, featuring a red carpet and photographs, capturing the joy and spirit of our community. Todd and I, along with many attendees, embraced the theme by dressing in golden suits, adding to the festive atmosphere. Our student members played a special role, serving as wait staff for the evening, a delightful twist that exemplified the spirit of service.
During the event, we presented about 50 awards to volunteers, acknowledging their diverse contributions - from their sacrificial spirit to exceptional welcoming skills. These awards highlighted the significant impact our volunteers have on the young lives in our church.
Beyond the fun and glamour, the event was a meaningful opportunity for connection. It was heartwarming to see leaders from different areas of our children's ministry meet and realize they were part of the same team, despite serving in different roles or times.
Our volunteers are essential to our ministry's impact, from large outreach events to individual moments of faith and guidance. They are the ones making a difference in lives, teaching and mentoring young people, and embodying the love and teachings of our faith.
To all our volunteers, thank you. Your dedication and sacrifice are the foundation of what we do at Community Church. It is a privilege to serve alongside each of you, and your efforts are truly appreciated. Your work is a testament to the power of faith and community in action.
