I'm Fondue of You

Valentines Day Fondue Night

O

ur church recently hosted an unforgettable evening that seamlessly blended fellowship, laughter, outreach, and culinary delight, drawing in around 30 attendees, including men and women from various walks of life. This event, aimed primarily at women, encouraged them to bring along someone dear to them, whether a spouse, friend, or family member, fostering a sense of community among those who might not usually attend women's events.

The centerpiece of the evening was a fondue feast, featuring an array of items like angel food cake, Oreos, french toast sticks, strawberries, and pretzels, all ready to be dipped in a selection of delectable dips including chocolate, caramel, hummus, and cheese. The atmosphere was one of joyful indulgence as we shared these treats. Adding to the excitement, a raffle offered a snack basket filled with snacks, games, and a movie, further enhancing the communal spirit.

However, the event offered more than just culinary enjoyment. We were treated to a comedy sketch by Michael Jr., whose clean humor and heartfelt testimony resonated deeply, providing both laughter and thoughtful reflection in the sanctuary. In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we also embraced the art of giving by creating valentines not only for those dear to us but also for our shut-ins, ensuring they felt remembered and loved.

The evening proved to be a meaningful opportunity for new members to connect with our church family, many expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and the enjoyable experience. Our act of making valentines and praying for each recipient underscored the event's outreach mission, making it an evening of fellowship, reflection, and shared joy that will be fondly remembered.
